Since the start of our school closure, the Förderkreis board members have continued to meet online, monitoring the situation together with the school management and our team of native speakers.
With the gradual re-opening of the school, we are very happy to announce the return of our Native Speaker Program in the form of online clubs. As of Monday 25th of May, all students will enjoy access to afternoon virtual clubs: origami, cooking, PubQuiz, Cheer Dance, crafts, reading, story time, weaving, drawing… We really hope our program offers something for every kid, and support our parents by offering a range of fun and educational activities for learning and using the English language from the comfort of your own homes.
We will be trialling this new format in the coming weeks up to the end of the school year, with a view to continue in the new school year whilst the circumstances prevent us from delivering our programs on site. In case of strong demand, we will even consider a permanent online offer in addition to our usual on-site activities.
You can find the full clubs schedule here
All clubs have a duration of 25 minutes, and will be offered Monday to Friday from 2 until 4 p.m. via the online platform Jitsi.
Our native speakers –some of whom have not been able to return to Berlin yet– have been working hard on bringing themselves up-to-date with the technology, and putting the contents of the program together. They really can’t wait to see the children again!
Like the rest of the world right now, we are trying to adjust to „the new normal“, and would therefore be grateful for your feedback about the program, its content, and anything else you feel will help us in delivering the best possible experience to our children.
Thank you all for your continued support, and we look forward to hearing back from you, and having as many children as possible sharing their afternoons with their friends and our native speakers.
