International Picnic
International Picnic

We're bringing back an old tradition and organising an International Picnic in the schoolyard on 4 June from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. And for this, we need your help!
Please add your name to this list if you would like to support us on the day.
We plan to offer food grouped by country or region for our school community to enjoy. This food will be offered for free. We would like to keep the picnic within our immediate school community and use the opportunity to grow closer together. For this reason, please save invites for grandma, grandpa, aunties, uncles, and cousins to the Summer Fair instead. There will be a small programme with performances, and the Förderkreis will offer drinks and sweet treats such as popcorn and candy floss for a small contribution.
Ideally, we would like to find someone for each country or region to coordinate that group, so that as many different traditional dishes as possible can be offered. Experience has shown that the food disappears quickly, so we would be extremely grateful if as many people as possible could contribute something! Everyone who indicates that they can help with setting up or clearing away will be contacted separately.
Many thanks to everyone for your support — we are already very much looking forward to the picnic at the beginning of June!

Currently, the tasks in our Förderkreis are spread across too few shoulders, and we would be delighted if anyone would like to get involved.
It's not all that bad in terms of time commitment. We meet for a short weekly or bi-weekly catch-up online (currently Tuesday evenings) and discuss what's on the agenda. Depending on your involvement, you don't always have to attend every call (e.g., we don't always have events to prepare for).

We would like to invite you to this year's annual general meeting of the Förderkreis. Non-members are also warmly welcome.
As usual for an association in Germany, we will discuss the annual income and expenses, personnel changes, elect the board, and similar matters.
We have a few positions to fill, but we promise no office will be forced on anyone. Specifically, we seek board members to coordinate the AGs, assist with our events, and contribute to planning. We are also looking for someone to provide additional eyes to oversee our books. No previous experience is necessary.
